Where I live, summer (aka fire season) runs until November 1, so we’re about 3/4 of the way through. To prevent constant checking of the fire scanners, I’ve been applying myself to the “A change is as good as a rest” philosophy, working on projects, both handwork and writing, some of which have been waiting for years….
