Christmas. I can feel you shuddering from here, going, “Are you mad? The school year has only just begun! Run away—far away!” But in the land of publishing, the Christmas season starts, oh, at the end of September, when you’ll see a blizzard of snow and ribbons and sparkly book covers going up online.

I hope to have this little novella of 24,000 words out at the beginning of October. It’s a trifle, a sugarplum, a little whiling away of your time to distract you while I figure out what’s going to happen to Gloria Meriwether-Astor in Book 10.
