Devices Brightly Shining—update
This has been quite the exercise, and has taught me that no matter how rigorous one’s QA process might be, it can never be rigorous enough!
For Amazon Kindle readers, Amazon is going to send you all a note saying that the book has been updated, and to please download the fresh copy using your Kindle Manager.
For iBooks, Kobo, and Nook readers, I’ve uploaded the fresh file and expect that it will take a day or so to populate on the sites. Once you can “look inside the book” and see the invitation to the ball arriving at Hollys Park, you can re-download the fresh version.
I am so sorry about this. I think I’ll just go back to book 10 now, and lock myself in Ned Mose’s upstairs prison room in Resolution.
Ned Mose shows up in Book 10?! Either way, can’t wait!
Though I thought the “wrong” chapter one fit well, I did just attempt to update my kindle copy but the chapter did not change (and I’ve received no email from Amazon regarding it) . Perhaps it will take more time, or persuasion?
I am very excited for book 10!
Oh dear! The good thing is, Amazon is very concerned that your customer experience be very good, so if you send Customer Service a note, they’ll make sure the right file is sent to you. Again, humble apologies for this. I still haven’t figured out how the mistake happened 🙁 Can you let me know when it’s solved?
Amazon fixed it quickly with a simple chat. Now off to reread chapter one! 🙂
Oh good! So glad it was resolved.
For what it’s worth, I had to contact Amazon directly (I did so through their chat option) and the service rep took care of it right then and there.
